On 20 and 21 August 2022, Dr. Terence Tan gave two insightful presentations on “High Participant Satisfaction Achieved Using Cryolipolysis for Fat Reduction of the Abdomen and Flanks” and “Restoring Facial Balance at the Lower Face with Juvederm Volux” at the Aesthetic Medicine & Surgery Conference (AMSC) 2022.
The event was held in Sime Darby Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With the easing of COVID-19 rules, physical conferences are finally possible. However, to cater to delegates who were unable to travel, organisers of AMSC 2022 made this conference a hybrid event, broadcasting the sessions online too.
The AMSC 2022 organisers brought in more than 100 highly sought-after speakers from around the world with over 500 delegates. Dr. Terence Tan was invited by Allergan to share scientific and evidence-based practices on its behalf on two key therapies – fat reduction with cryolipolysis (CoolSculpting) and dermal fillers – with medical practitioners. It was a great platform for aesthetic doctors to share and learn from one another, with speakers delving into the latest technology and best practices that enhance the safety and efficacy of treatments, and comparing the outcomes from medical centres from around the region.
Dr. Terence Tan is an advocate of knowledge sharing to raise the standards in the medical aesthetics industry. He previously shared medical aesthetic insight at an AbbVie staff event and was also the keynote speaker for the “Juvederm Expert Forum”. Dr Terence Tan also presented the “Body Contouring with Emotional Attributes” at the Allergan Aesthetics Symposium in December 2020 and the Saxenda Webinar for Aesthetic Doctors 2021 in March 2021.
Dr. Terence Tan has also been a member of several medical aesthetic and healthcare advisory boards and committees, including various Allergan Aesthetics advisory boards for CoolSculpting and its studies. His research findings were also presented at many medical conferences worldwide like the US, Japan, Monaco, Dubai, and Spain.
Additionally, Dr. Terence Tan is an advisor for various pharmaceutical companies including Allergan and Novo Nordisk, the pharmaceutical company behind Saxenda.
