A threadlift is a skin tightening procedure where threads with anchors, like cones, are inserted just below the skin to lift sagging skin and encourage collagen production in the face and neck. Threadlift contours and rejuvenates the face, and is also popularly used to enhance the shape of the nose in Singapore.

- Contour the face for a more youthful look
- Lift sagging jawline, cheeks and mid-face, eye area, and neck
- Enhance the nose bridge for a sharper and more lifted nose
Minimally invasive, non-surgical
Lifts saggy skin
Improves volume loss
Stimulates collagen growth
Sculpts facial features
Two main classes of threads used for
threadlifts in Singapore
- Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA)
- Polydioxanone (PDO)
It is recommended to consult a medical doctor as the type of thread used depends on each individual and the doctor will prescribe the treatment upon consultation.
Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA)
The PLLA threads have cones made of the same material attached to the thread for anchoring the thread to the skin.
These cones also hook to the tissue, increasing the volume of saggy areas thereby helping to restore shape to the facial area as well as provide a lift.
PLLA threads also act as a volumiser as it is able to stimulate the production of collagen in the skin.
PDO threads go by different names, including Ultra V Lift, ART Lift, and DuoLift. This non-surgical face-lifting technique uses absorbable ultra-fine threads called polydioxanone (PDO) to continuously stimulate collagen synthesis under the skin. Made by Korean companies, the threads use cogs (tiny hooks) within the threads for anchoring. They are particularly suitable for nose threadlifts.
How is eye threadlift different from other
face threadlift treatments?
Threads for undereye rejuvenation do not “lift” like threads used for other areas and so it is technically not really a “threadlift”. In this instance, threads are inserted under the eye for support and to stimulate collagen production.
Eye threadlift reduces wrinkles, loose skin, and the bulginess of eye bags.
What to expect during
The procedure takes about 30 minutes depending on the areas treated. It is a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment where threads are inserted about 5mm under the skin with a thin yet flexible cannula. Local anaesthetic is applied before treatment, making it a comfortable experience.
You may feel some discomfort, swelling or experience some bruising at the treatment site. These generally resolve within one week.
