A threadlift is a skin tightening procedure where threads with anchors, like cones, are inserted just below the skin to lift sagging skin and encourage collagen production in the face and neck. Threadlift contours and rejuvenates the face, and is also popularly used to enhance the shape of the nose in Singapore.
- Contours the face for a more youthful look
- Lifts sagging jawline, cheeks and mid-face, eye area, and neck.
- Enhances the nose bridge, making the nose sharper and lifted.

Two main classes of threads are
used for thread lifts in Singapore
- Silhouette Soft
- Polydioxanone (PDO)
This is a thread made of Poly L-lactic Acid (PLLA), which has cones made of the same material attached to the thread for anchoring the thread to the skin. The Silhouette Soft® technique lifts and positions sagging mid-face tissue, and it is recommended for correcting signs of ageing in the nasolabial fold, the expression lines, and the jowls. Silhouette Soft is also effective for the neck and the brows.
PDO threads go by different names, including Ultra V Lift, ART Lift, and DuoLift. This non-surgical face-lifting technique uses absorbable ultra-fine threads called polydioxanone (PDO) to continuously stimulate collagen synthesis under the skin. Made by Korean companies, the threads use cogs (tiny hooks) within the threads for anchoring. They are particularly suitable for nose threadlifts.
How is Eye Threadlift different from other
Face Threadlift treatments?
Threads for undereye rejuvenation do not ‘lift’ like threads used for other area and so it is technically not really a “threadlift”. In this instance, threads are inserted under the eye for support and stimulate the production of collagen.
Eye Threadlift reduces the wrinkles, loose skin, and the bulginess of the eye bags.
Most undereye threads are made from Polydixanone (PDO). They are inserted under sterile conditions with a blunt cannula for safety.
What to expect during
The procedure takes about 30 minutes depending on the areas treated. It is a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment where threads are inserted about 5mm under the skin with a thin yet flexible cannula. Local anaesthetic is applied before treatment, making it a comfortable experience.
How long will the
Because everyone is unique, threadlift results can last from one to three years depending on your lifestyle and your skin condition.
You may feel some discomfort, swelling or experience some bruising at the treatment site. These generally resolve within one week.
