Ahead of the CoolSculpting fat reduction device launch in Singapore, Dr. Terence Tan was in Bangkok in April as a keynote speaker to unveil the updated fat freezing device to about 100 doctors in Bangkok.
The highly anticipated CoolSculpting Elite fat reduction machine is finally launched in Asia with much fanfare across the region. This non-invasive fat freezing device is Allergan Aesthetics’ latest update to its CoolSculpting machine featuring an improved safety profile, a larger treatment area, and curvier applicators for a more comfortable fit. All these features and more were revealed by Dr. Terence Tan during his keynote speech at the CoolSculpting Elite launch in Bangkok, Thailand.
Dr. Terence Tan who is the Medical Director of Halley Medical Aesthetics and Halley Body Slimming Clinic is a key opinion leader for Allergan Aesthetics in the field of cryolipolysis fat reduction and CoolSculpting in Asia. During the Thailand launch of the CoolSculpting Elite in Conrad Bangkok, Dr. Terence Tan highlighted Halley’s CoolSculpting best practices as well as experience, use, and results from fat reduction with the CoolSculpting Elite device in his keynote speech. More than 100 doctors attended the CoolSculpting Elite launch event in Thailand.

After his keynote address, Dr. Terence Tan also took part in a “Meet The Experts” question-and-answer panel session with two other doctors—key opinion leaders for Allergan Aesthetics from Japan and Thailand. He answered questions from the floor regarding his opinion regarding fat reduction, treatment best practices that will improve patient outcome, and tips on building a successful CoolSculpting practice.
After the launch event, Dr. Terence Tan also met local Thai doctors and visited a CoolSculpting clinic in Thailand to share his experience and insight on the Allergan Aesthetics’ latest CoolSculpting fat reduction, which is a fat freezing device approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for safe, effective, non-invasive fat reduction and body contouring.
Research-based patient care
Dr. Terence Tan is actively involved in research that will advance the care and treatment outcome of medical aesthetic treatments. He has a special interest in the use of CoolSculpting for body contouring and he was a key lead researcher for two studies on cryolipolysis in Asia.
His study, “High Participant Satisfaction Achieved Using Cryolipolysis for Fat Reduction of the Abdomen and Flanks”, was published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal in December 2021. The journal is a peer-reviewed international journal focused on scientific developments and clinical techniques in aesthetic surgery. His research has been presented in international meetings in the US, Monaco, Spain, Japan, China, Singapore, and the Middle East.
