GOURI - Injectable Liquid Polycaprolactone (PCL)

What is PCL Injection?

PCL injection is an injectable biostimulator made of Polycaprolactone (PCL). It rejuvenates our skin by promoting collagen production to revitalise the skin, creating a youthful-looking appearance. It naturally extends across the entire face, boosting the synthesis of collagen, which tends to decrease with skin aging. It is now available in Singapore.

What is Polycaprolactone (PCL)?

Polycaprolactone (PCL) is known for its biodegradability within the human body. Through the stimulation of collagen production, PCL-based products, including PCL injection, can effectively counteract facial aging indicators like volume loss and contour laxity, offering a sustained and natural outcome.

Benefits of PCL Injection treatment:

  • Diminish fine lines and wrinkles
  • Address sagging in the face and jowls
  • Restore skin elasticity
  • Resstore skin firmness

PCL injection doesn’t function like a localised filler, nor a skin booster. Instead, it uniformly disperses across the entire face, fostering natural skin collagenesis. This process works to diminish fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging skin gradually and evenly

FAQs

Results are generally seen about 1-2 months after the PCL injection treatment and lasts up to a year.

PCL injection works best when treatment is done over 3 monthly sessions followed by halfyearly treatments for maintenance. Effects last up to 12 months and being a biodegradable polymer, PCL injection will break down naturally over time.

After applying numbing cream for about 15 to 20 minutes, your doctor will inject PCL injection into the skin with a cannula. PCL injection will be uniformly administered just below the skin through several injection points

PCL injection is a minimally-invasive treatment with minimal downtime. You may notice small bumps over the injection points, but these will subside over the next 3-5 days. Needle marks, mild redness, swelling, and bruises may occur, but not to worry, these will resolve shortly and can be easily concealed with makeup.

Do avoid alcohol consumption, Aspirin or painkillers for a day to prevent bruising. Paracetamol is safe to consume if needed

Gouri and Profhilo are formulated with different distinct substances. PCL injection consists of a fully solubilised liquid form of PCL, whereas Hyaluronic acid (HA) injectable skin moisturise is made from Hyaluronic Acid (HA). Hyaluronic acid (HA) injectable skin moisturise contributes to skin hydration for hydrated and radiant skin, while PCL injection achieves a gentle, generalised lifting effect on the face.
